If you have ever been inside a major hospital, you know that it can really be confusing. The parking garages look the same, the hallways look the same, and there are people in white coats walking everywhere, down every hallway, on every floor. I know from experience that it is quite possible to wander around for an hour or more and still not find where you are supposed to go. You can also look around for your car for an hour and never find it, no matter how hard you look. With that backdrop in mind, do you know why you can find neither your destination nor your car? It has nothing to do with intelligence. You aren’t a moron; you just can’t find your car. It has nothing to do with how hard you search. It has nothing to do with dedication. The reason you can find neither your destination, nor your car is because…wait for it…you are looking in the wrong place!! You are looking on the wrong floor, or the wrong hallway, or the wrong parking garage. Just like there are many folks wandering around the hospital as you read this, just as lost as last year’s Easter Egg, there are even more people wandering around life looking for peace and satisfaction. They are smart, hard-working, intelligent people. They are just looking in the wrong place. Do you know how I found what I was looking for in the hospital? While I was walking around, in a dedicated, but confused search, someone in a white coat asked me if they could help me. I told them where I was trying to go, and they told me I couldn’t get there from where I was. He laughed and said, “just kidding”. Then, he pointed me in the right direction. Just as the doctor saw my confusion and helped me find where I needed to go, we too need to be on the lookout for confused people looking for peace and satisfaction but looking in the wrong place. Then we need to point them to the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ.
Be blessed and be a blessing . . . Bro. Andy
