Be Reminded . . .

Writer's picture: By Pastor Andy PlankBy Pastor Andy Plank

December 4, 2022 . . .

I had a really aggravating week last week. My heart acted up Tuesday and Wednesday. I had a pinched nerve in my neck, shoulder and arm which caused a lot of pain. I got locked out of Facebook and had to open a new account. My old account was opened in 2009, so it had thirteen years of pictures and memories stored in it. I suppose those are gone forever, floating around somewhere in the nether regions of cyberspace. A hacker tried to steal money out of my bank account and to top it all off, in the middle of the night, I stumped my baby toe on the bedpost and found out I must be charismatic, because between my toe and neck, I was speaking at least fourteen different unintelligible languages. The next day, while I was wallowing in my misery, a song came over the radio at just the right time.

For Your mercy never fails me, All my days, I've been held in Your hands. From the moment that I wake up, Until I lay my head. Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

And all my life You have been so, so good, With every breath that I am able, Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

You have led me through the fire, In the darkest night. You are close like no other I've known You as a Father, I've known You as a Friend And I have lived in the goodness of God

(Songwriters: Jason Ingram / Ed Cash / Brian Mark Johnson / Jenn Louise Johnson / Ben David Fielding

Goodness of God lyrics © So Essential Tunes, Capitol Cmg Paragon, Bethel Music Publishing, Shout! Music Publishing Australia)

We serve an awesome, faithful God who is good all the time, and in the difficulties of life, sometimes we need reminding. He reminded me, and now I’ve reminded you. Let’s all sing of the goodness of God!

Have a blessed week. Bro. Andy
